Distinctive characters of species Carcharodus alceae και Muschampia orientalis
The species Carcharodus alceae is relatively easily distinguished from the species Muscahmpia orientalis, M. floccifera, M. stauderi, M. lavatherae and M. stauderi.
In addition, one more detail is noted here:
• The species Carcharodus alceae has the tips of the antennae in the form of a hook.
• The other species Muscahmpia orientalis, M. floccifera, M. stauderi, M. lavatherae and M. stauderi, have the tips of the antennae rounded and not in the form of a hook.
Two photos are listed for comparison (and more on another page).
