This privacy policy covers when you use the iOS and Android applications – Butterflies of Greece.

Collection of information

The photos shown in this app are the property of Lazaros Pamperis. The app named Butterflies of Greece does not collect any information from its users unless the users agree to contribute images or other information through the contribution page.

The butterfly information (including user’s location) added by the users of the app in the contribution page is stored locally on the device. It’s up to the user to export this info and send it to the app’s author (Lazaros Pamperis) by email.

The contributed images and information submitted by the users may be used for training the model (for the butterfly recognition) or for butterfly conservation activities if required.

The information of the users will be protected with at most care and we do not share this information with any other groups or persons without the consent of the contributor.

Use of information

The only information collected by the app is the images that the user sends to the server for online recognition. These photos are not stored on the server unless the user wishes to contribute through the contribution page.
