CHARACTERISTIC DETAILS OF THE SPECIES Carchadodus alceae, Muschampia orientalis, Muschampia floccifera and Muschampia stauderi
- The identification of Carcharodus alceae and Muschampia lavatherae is easy if the UNS is visible but also if the characteristic details of UPS.
- The species Muschampia stauderi has a limited distribution in the islands of the eastern Aegean (Rhodes, Tilos, Symi, Nisyros, Kalymnos, Kos, Leros and Halki) and characteristic UNH.
- The identification of the species Muschampia floccifera and Muschampia orientalis is facilitated if the small differences in the UNH and the color of the UPS are pointed out.
- Some photos are also presented with individuals of both genus Carcharodus and Muschampia to better understand the special characteristics.
